One day I was contacted by the Trails and Trees Studio Tour of Berkeley County, West Virginia. They had seen my crafts and wanted a closer look with an eye to adding me to the tour. I believe it was Mona Kissel and Ed and Cat Cigmalio who came over and examined some things I’d set out for them. I realized as they looked things over that it didn’t matter if I was accepted or not (at least to me). What mattered was that I was accepted as an artisan. They welcomed me as such and later accepted me into the tour.

This open attitude rings all through the tour both to artisans and customers. We have the tour once a year, but whenever and wherever we meet I can say for myself it’s a joyful meeting.

This year, our tour event is this coming weekend, November 6 and 7, 10-5 each day. I have listed our artisans by studio and craft because in a lot of ways it’s a journey into beauty and art. These items grace our home also.
